What we do
At Ethereality, we offer architectural and interior design services for but not limited to residential and commercial building typologies. Whether you require zoning, feasibility, and conceptual studies, architectural and construction documents, architectural visualizations, urban design packages, or construction administration services, we have the experience and capability to meet your needs. Using the most up to date digital design tools when offering our services, we provide quality work that can be programmed to consider the economy of building materials, the optimization of building performance, all at efficient design and documentation speeds.
Being a team of two architects, we are selective of the work we take on so that we can focus our time and energy on our clients. Unlike larger firms where your project is completed by a design team riddled with hierarchy, change over, and experience, with us you deal directly with licensed design professionals who know your projects inside and out. The intimate nature of our practice means that we are constantly aware of financial and time sensitive matters pertaining to our projects.
Our mission
As architects we have to act as agents of change to how the built environment is repaired, maintained, and expanded. Our aim is to reduce the environmental impact of building by pushing the construction sector to implement innovative approaches to materials and methods. We strive to guide our clients to design outcomes that challenge conventional building trends which collectively account for 39% of greenhouse gas emissions and 18% of natural resource depletion (Lutter, Giljum, Lieber and Manstein, 2016)(IEA, 2019). Harnessing the latest computational and technological tools, we can evaluate our projects in terms of design and engineering methods, fabrication and assembly processes, and building and material systems. Considering design from these multiple perspectives coupled with knowledge of novel construction processes allows us to have a positive influence over the economy and ecology of our projects.
As a practice we value collaboration between clients, builders, and academic researchers. In our day to day operation we facilitate an environment where the exchange of knowledge is able to flourish. By maintaining open communications we are able to provide our clients with design solutions that arise from awareness of project specific design problems. Our design process, which is reactive to communication, uses the latest technology to optimize building performance and user experience, and questions conventional building methods distinguish our work. Outside of our practice, we actively engage in teaching and architectural research. We believe an engagement with academia allows us to adapt novel research, technology, and theory into our creative process.
Who we are

Daria Fox, Founder
Daria Fox is a registered architect in the state of Florida. Daria holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University having graduated with honors. Professionally, Daria has worked with an engineering practice where she learned how to design engineered systems and structures ranging from single family residential to commercial. With her awareness of both architecture and engineering related practices, Daria has the ability to design well integrated buildings that perform well from many facets of design and engineering. Daria focuses her design process around the end user experience, designing buildings that are designed to optimally function based on the negotiation of site specificity and use.

Christian Gotthilf Steixner, Founder
Christian Steixner is a registered architect in the state of Florida. Educationally, Christian has obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University having graduated with honors as well as a Masters in Science in Integrative Technologies and Architectural Design Research from the University of Stuttgart in Germany. Specializing in computational design and digital fabrication, Christian is certified in operating a KUKA 6-axis industrial robot as well as holds multiple Autodesk Revit certifications. Applying these skills, Christian is focused on circular economies, performance driven design, and design optimization.
Professionally, Christian has obtained experience by working with established firms in interior residential, interior commercial, high end residential, multi-family residential, high rise mixed use, and urban design master planning. Christian has experience in all phases of design from feasibility studies to construction administration. Teaching as an adjunct instructor and being an active researcher, Christian aims to introduce the latest technologies into his architectural design process.
