Located in Stuart, FL this single-story Bungalow was designed on a vacant lot between old Florida style homes. The design respects the scale of the neighborhood and reserved architectural style. The massing of the bungalow is situated on the site so that all existing trees remain and complement the design. Organic limestone clad walls hide all private spaces and reinforce the openness afforded by large expanses of glass enclosing the common spaces. This strategy plays on the idea that the heart of the bungalow should be open to everyone.
